Northgate Information Solutions is committed to Reality, the original commercial implementation of the MultiValue Database and operating environment. Today, Reality's technology leads the way in efficient, resilient and functionally rich MultiValue and SQL database and web-enabled solutions.

Northgate is also a market leader in providing specialist software, outsourcing and information technology (IT) services to the human resources, local government, education and public safety markets. With the incorporation of subsidiary company in the US, Northgate Inc, the focus has been broadened back onto the international stage. As of early 2008 this has been further promoted by the acquisition back into private ownership by KKR, Kohlberg Kravis Roberts.

Northgate, currently employs over 8,000 employees and operates in 46 countries across 5 continents. Northgate has approximately 4,500 large/medium customers and approximately 10,500 small/medium enterprise (SME) customers world wide. The many corporate organisations Northgate works closely with include approximately 1 in 5 Fortune 500, 90% of the UK local authorities and all of the UK's regional police forces.

The original company was founded in 1969, consequently, Northgate has more than 40 years' experience in the IT market.
